How it works
Trade on Meteora. Or with the vault.
- 1Trade on the poolEvery buy and sell of ORBIT in its Meteora pool pays a 2% fee. Meteora keeps a fifth; 0.8% fills the vault's SOL and 0.8% runs Orbit.
- 2Or trade with the vaultSell to it or buy from it at the pool's price, off the chart, with no slippage. 2% of the coins are burned, and none of it goes to Meteora.
- 3A deeper pool127.5 of the 170 SOL ORBIT raised went into its pool, so it opened deep; the other 25% started the vault.

The vault: a built-in OTC desk
Trade off the chart. No slippage, 2% burned.
- 1Sell some to the vaultA limited amount a day: up to 10% of your ORBIT or 3 SOL's worth, whichever is more. You get SOL at the pool's price, and the chart doesn't move.
- 2Or layer inBuy ORBIT from the vault's pile at the pool's price, with no slippage and no limit per wallet.
- 32% of every vault trade is burnedIt never goes through Meteora, because no swap happens on the DEX. Those coins are simply destroyed.

Today's limits
- One wallet can sell up to 10% of the ORBIT it holds or 3 SOL's worth a day, whichever is more. Buying has no limit per wallet: up to 21.6M ORBIT today, at the pool's price. Bigger trades go in parts, one block after another, with one signature.
- All together, the vault pays out at most 80% of its SOL a day (and 80% of its ORBIT): $7.24K of SOL today, $7.24K left.
- It trades at the pool's live price both ways. A block pays out at most 2% of the vault's side and 1.5% of the pool's, so pushing the price for a moment costs more than it could win. It pauses if its price check goes stale or the pool jumps far outside its recent range.

Questions
The straight answers.
What is the vault?
A second way to trade ORBIT, off the chart. It holds SOL and ORBIT and trades both ways at the live price of ORBIT's Meteora pool: sell to it and get SOL, or buy from its pile of ORBIT. 2% of the coins in every vault trade are burned.
Why sell to the vault instead of the chart?
No slippage, and the chart doesn't move: a sale to the vault happens off the chart at the pool's price. Each wallet can sell a limited amount a day: 10% of the ORBIT it holds or 3 SOL's worth, whichever is more. Anything more trades on the pool as usual.
Is the vault an OTC desk?
Yes, one built into ORBIT. Like an OTC desk, it trades away from the chart, at the pool's price with no slippage. Daily limits keep each trade small next to the vault. Unlike most desks, a program on chain holds the coins and enforces the price, the limits and the settlement, and 2% of every trade is burned.
What is layering in?
Buying from the vault's pile of ORBIT at the pool's price, with no slippage and no limit per wallet. The coins come from people who sold to the vault, and from buybacks: every coin launched here pays $2 of every $1,000 traded to buy ORBIT. Half of what it buys is burned and half goes into the vault.
How much can I sell or buy?
Selling: up to 10% of the ORBIT your wallet holds (counted at your first sale of the day) or 3 SOL's worth a day, whichever is more. Buying: no limit per wallet. All together the vault pays out at most 80% of its SOL, and of its ORBIT, a day, and in any one block at most 2% of either and 1.5% of what the pool holds of it. A bigger trade is split into parts for you, with one signature.
What price do I get?
The pool's live price, both ways, with no slippage. So that nobody can push the price for a moment to drain the vault, each block pays out at most a small share of the vault and of the pool: pushing the price costs more in the pool's fees than it could win. The vault pauses if its price check goes stale or the pool jumps far outside its recent range.
Where does the vault's SOL come from?
25% of the SOL ORBIT raised on its launch curve (42.5 SOL), then 0.8% of every trade on the pool (half of our share of the 2% fee), and what buyers pay for its ORBIT. It leaves the vault only to pay people who sell to it.
What's burned, and does Meteora get any of it?
2% of the coins in every vault trade, destroyed for good. None of it goes through Meteora: a vault trade isn't a swap on the DEX, so Meteora takes nothing from it.
How many ORBIT are there?
1,000,000,000 were made, and no more can be: nobody can mint ORBIT or freeze anyone's coins. When ORBIT graduated to its Meteora pool, the 51,735,498 coins the pool didn't take (5.17%) were burned, leaving 948,264,502. Since then the vault has burned 2% of the coins in every trade, so there are fewer still.
Can the vault run out?
Yes. Its SOL can run low if many sell and few buy; the daily limits shrink with it, and fees from the pool keep refilling it. Its ORBIT runs out when buyers take the whole pile, until someone sells again.
Do holders get rewards?
No. ORBIT doesn't pay holders a share of the fees: the point is a better way to trade. The trading fee goes to the vault, the Orbit team and Meteora.
Where does the trading fee go?
Every trade on the pool pays 2%. Meteora keeps a fifth (0.4%); 0.8% goes into the vault's SOL and 0.8% to the Orbit team, which runs Orbit and its vault. Before ORBIT graduated, its launch curve charged 2% too, Meteora kept a fifth, and all of the rest went to the team, for development.
So the price can't fall?
It can. The vault lets sellers sell some off the chart; it doesn't hold the price up, and anyone can still sell straight into the pool.
Who controls the vault?
A program holds it and enforces the price, the limits and the burn. It has no way to withdraw: nobody can take the vault's SOL or ORBIT out except by trading with it. If you sent the vault a request back when trades waited for approval, you can cancel it on the Vault tab any time to get everything back. It runs on Solana. While ORBIT is experimental we can still upgrade that program to fix bugs, so for now you are also trusting us, and every upgrade is public on the blockchain.
Why Meteora?
ORBIT trades in a Meteora pool, the kind Jupiter and every Solana wallet route through, and the vault takes its price from that pool. We didn't build an exchange; we built the vault beside it.
Built on Meteora
Meteora built the pools. We built the way in.
Everything here runs on Meteora. ORBIT launched on Meteora's bonding curve, graduated into a Meteora pool and trades through Meteora's own programs, so it can be traded on Jupiter and the trading apps. We don't run an exchange. What we add sits beside the pool: the vault, a second way to trade ORBIT off the chart.
What Meteora built
- The pool ORBIT trades inThe Meteora pool it graduated into, with a 2% fee and its liquidity locked for good, open to Jupiter and every Solana wallet.
- The price the vault usesEvery vault trade is priced from ORBIT's Meteora pool.
- The curve it launched onMeteora's Dynamic Bonding Curve, the fair start every early holder bought on.
What we add on top
- The vaultBuys and sells ORBIT off the chart at the pool's live price, with no slippage.
- The burn2% of the coins in every vault trade, destroyed.
- The limitsEach wallet sells at most 10% of its ORBIT or 3 SOL's worth a day, whichever is more, and the vault pays out at most 80% of either side a day, a little each block, so it can't be drained in one go.
- Honest numbersEvery figure after all the cuts. Anything unknown shows a dash, never a zero.
